Located in north Detroit between 7 Mile and 8 Mile Roads, our architecturally notable grounds celebrate the lives of some of the world's most cherished souls, including Rosa Parks, Aretha Franklin, The Dodge Brothers, Levi Stubbs, James Jamerson, Albert Cobo, Mel Farr, Edsel Ford, Eleanor Ford, David Ruffin, C. J. Whitney, and Joseph L. Hudson. We have been honored to provide traditional ground plots, mausoleum spaces, prestige collections, cremations, a map of notable burials, and pre-need planning since 1895.
We recognize that many third party organizations organize walking tours of our cemetery. While we encourage this, we must be able to prioritize our burials and the grieving families that we serve. For this reason, we request that tours are organized for Sundays when possible, and groups call our offices in advance to alert us of the group. We thank you for your cooperation as we strive to make our cemetery a peaceful and supportive environment for the families and community we serve.
