Stewards of St. Thomas of Villanova volunteer at Calvary Cemetery of West Conshohocken

On June 25, 2024, volunteers from St. Thomas of Villanova and Mother of Good Counsel Parishes visited Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken, PA, to assist with grounds maintenance. The group, including Grades 6–8 students, camp counselors, and adult chaperones, contributed to the cleanup and landscaping of three shrines, planted flowers, and mulched flower beds.

Known as “Stewards,” these volunteers participated in a one-week Summer Service Camp designed to teach responsibility, leadership, teamwork, and compassion. The program also provides valuable experience for college applications and resumes. More details on the program can be found here.

Managed by Everstory Partners and part of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Calvary Cemetery was honored by the Stewards’ help. The cemetery staff appreciated the opportunity to educate the volunteers about the care involved in maintaining these sacred spaces.
