What is a Lawn Crypt Burial?

A lawn crypt is a burial option that allows for two people to be memorialized together (though they are also available for one person). The space always remains clean and dry. Lawn crypts also feature a water drainage system directly below the area to provide added protection from weather.

A lawn crypt burial consists of four different components:

1 Gravesite

The space or plot, sometimes referred to as a grave or funeral plot, is the spot where a body is laid to rest in the ground. Lush green sod is placed over the space to provide an area for loved ones to stand, visit, and remember. A tribute installed at the gravesite to honor and celebrate a life worth remembering. Flat bronze markers are installed at memorial parks and upright concrete monuments are installed at cemeteries.

4 Vault

Vault

A burial (or casket) vault is a concrete outer enclosure that houses the casket. The vault is placed into the cemetery space as a protective lining for the casket, which is lowered into the vault at the time of burial.
